Scaling a Community of Practice for Education in STEM through Digital Fabrication; this project aims to catalyze STEM learning in formal educational environments through digital fabrication technologies and practices found in a Fab Lab or makerspace. Year one of the project has two major phases. Phase I is a call for activities and projects to develop a compilation of digital fabrication lessons that have been aligned to standards and adapted for open source distribution. Phase II is experiential leadership cohort of up to 3 schools for a year-long partnership of professional development and curriculum development.
