The Fab13 Research Papers Stream contibutes to the topic of "Fab Labs and Society" in three sessions.
On Society and Sustainability, the papers discuss how Fab Lab can contribute to inclusion, innovation, resilience, social transformation and a sharing economy, particularly outside the global North.
On Education, the papers present contributions to innovation in education through digital fabrication, project-based learning, democratization of knowledge and assessment models.
On DIY Biology and Technology, the papers demonstrate contributions of Fab Labs to challenges in prosthetics, orthotics and housing.
