For a year on the initiative of Trinidad Gómez, began the network of digital handicrafts. Fab Lab Maya and Fab Lab Puebla, along with Walter Gonzalez with Fab Loom, have been the benchmarks in the red of the fabulous laboratories for their work in crafts applying the digital manufacture.
This work is recognized internationally and by the great innovation in the sector for the development of new sustainable economies.
Which are expected FAB 13 Outcomes from the activities
- Establish replicate methodologies for the Fab Lab network in craftsmanship and identity.
- Define general concepts such as: What are crafts? What is digital crafts? Typology of crafts? What is Fab Craft? Identity as differentiating value.
- Define project members and work teams for the digital handicraft network.
- Define Fab Lab typology specialized in crafts and identity.
The objective of this workshop in Fab 13 is to strengthen the theme of digital handicrafts as a thematic of work development in the network of fablabs.
It is intended that in the space of the workshop we can know the fabs that are working in different countries of the world on this area of work in order to share experiences and recognize the most successful methodologies.
To make known to the visiting public the Fab 13, which are the digital handicrafts, their implications and applications.
