This workshop is a collaboration between CBA and FabLab Rwanda to learn more about making things that fly. Lambert has been developing various RC aircraft in Rwanda and started developing a blended wing design for his Fab Academy project. We plan to work with the Fab13 community to learn some of the theory around blended wings and practice fabricating them. If time permits then we also hope to add propulsion and control to get something flying. We'll cover some theory of blended wing design, highlighting some of the key design parameters as well as sharing modeling and simulation techniques. We'll then work together to mill of foam cores using the Shopbot. Finally, we'll go over different techniques for laying up composite skins.
